Parents and Guardians,
Our girls basketball season is starting soon. This is offered to 7th-8th graders currently enrolled at Discovery. Practices begin January 14th.
All student athletes will need to have a current sports physical on record with the school. Sports physicals are valid for one calendar year and must be current for the duration of the season in order for the athlete to participate in any practices or games.

All student athletes will be required to remain eligible throughout the duration of each sports season. Discovery Magnet’s eligibility requirements can be found here:

Practices and/or games for all sports are every Tuesday-Friday on school days. Practices will run from 3:40-5:25. Games are typically T/Th, at 5pm.

We will be having an informational meeting for families with the coaches and Athletics Director on Tuesday, January 13th at 5:25pm in the Discovery library following the first practice.
Please complete registration forms as soon as possible. Athletics fees per student, per sport are $150. Students with an approved district fee waiver form still have a fee of $25.
